Rules

  1. Take one color. Choose a bucket and take all tiles of one color from it. Its other tiles slide into the center. Or take all tiles of a color from the center.
  2. Choose one pattern row. Rows hold 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 tiles of the same color. A row cannot use a color already on its wall. Extra tiles fall to the floor; you can also send a whole draft there.
  3. Build your wall. Once the market is empty, each full pattern row moves one tile onto the wall, from top to bottom. Unfinished rows stay for next round.
  4. Score the connections. An isolated tile earns 1 point. A tile extending a horizontal or vertical run scores its full length. If it connects in both directions, both runs count.

The first-player marker

The first player to take from the center also takes the 1 marker. It takes the first floor slot and lets you start the next round.

Watch the floor

The seven floor slots cost −1, −1, −2, −2, −2, −3, −3 in every round. The first-player marker occupies the first slot. Additional tiles beyond seven have no further penalty. Your score stays at or above zero.

The finish

The game ends after a round in which someone completes a horizontal wall row. Add 2 per completed row, 7 per completed column, and 10 per complete set of five tiles of a color. Highest score wins; ties use completed rows, then later position in the opening turn order.

The tile pool starts with 20 of each color. When exhausted, it refills with a fresh set of 100, as in the phone game.
